“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring… it was peace.” – Milan Kundera

A little about me…  I’ve always had dogs, been involved in training and interested in “dog psychology”, so it was natural the next path was grooming, and in 2007 I opened Wash & Wag Grooming.  From the very beginning I decided I didn’t want to be part of assembly line shop grooming, that I wanted to stay small, personal, and keep my working environment as stress-free as possible for myself and my clients (pets and their peeps).  I strive to provide the same kind of high quality grooming experience and shop professionalism that I as a client would expect, and want for my pet.  At Wash & Wag, I purposely limit clientele to no more than 2-3 dogs per session so I can take my time and provide individualized attention.  I practice patience with lots of positive reinforcement and treats to help your pet associate grooming with being a good experience; many times I’m having to undo damage already done.  And, my philosophy has been successful, the proof… the pups are relaxed, they often take naps, have snacks, and want to play and/or cuddle with me after being groomed, a stressed out dog will NOT do that; so my motto “where less stress = happy pets” speaks for itself!
